How Does Meftal Spas Tablet Work?

Meftal Spas Tablet is a medication that combines Dicyclomine (10mg) and Mefenamic Acid (250mg). Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic that helps relieve muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal tract, including the intestines. By doing so, it helps to relieve spasms, cramps, and discomfort associated with conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other gastrointestinal issues. While Mefenamic Acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals called prostaglandins. Prostaglandins play a role in promoting inflammation, pain, and fever. By reducing their levels, Mefenamic Acid helps alleviate pain and inflammation, making it effective in managing conditions such as menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea.
